They Are Heroes in the City of Dope

Zion I and The Grouch release their second collaboration at the end of the month, Heroes in the City of Dope.

Zion I, a group of two members (Zion and I), have an amazing track record. Their albums have won Best Independent Album of the Year by The Source magazine four times (for those taking notes: in 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2005). They have been featured on Linkin Park’s Grammy-award winning album Reanimation.

As front man of California’s super group Living Legends, The Grouch has quite the credentials, as well. Outside of working with the Legends, he has released seven, yes 7, solo albums, and been a part of five, yes 5, collaborative albums.

The first time the three worked together they created the hit single, “Silly Puddy,” off of Zion I’s debut album Mind Over Matter (1997).

MC Zion said, “[T]he creativity just flows when we get together in the studio.” Fo shizzle!

Zion I and The Grouch drop Heroes in the City of Dope October 24th. They are on tour so check out the schedule!
