Defari To Drop New Solo Street Music
Independent emcee Defari is gearing up to drop his third solo album, Street Music, on Tuesday, August 8th.
Offered by indie hip-hop label ABB Records, the set features the Alchemist produced song “Make My Own,” featuring Dilated Peoples emcee/ producer Evidence.
The emcee remembered for his work on “Some L.A. Niggas” from Dr. Dre’s classic Chronic 2001, has toured with acts such as tha Alkaholiks, Xzibit, Little Brother and Dilated Peoples. Of the many collaborations he’s done, his most recent, which sees him hook up with DJ Babu (Dilated Peoples/ World Famous Beat Junkies) to form the Likwit Junkies, produced the critically acclaimed album, The L.J.’s.
In a recent video interview, he broke down his intentions.
“I really want to get out to the people 1st in a significant way,” he says. “I’m from Likwit, you know how we do.”
Defari will be taking Street Music on the road this Fall. In the meantime, get your Defari fix on.
