Tour Wire: R. Kelly Teams Up With Keyshia Cole, J. Holiday & Ne-Yo For Tour

“Trapped In The Closet” auteur, R. Kelly is gearing up for his U.S. concert tour that will also include Keyshia Cole, Ne-Yo and J.Holiday. Starting on Nov. 14, the trek will hit major venues in Atlanta; Dallas; Washington; Houston; Las Vegas; New Orleans; Philadelphia; Baltimore; Chicago; St. Louis; Newark, N.J.; and Oakland, Calif.

Kelly was charged with child pornography in 2002 and is accused of engaging in videotaped sex acts with a minor. He will be supporting his latest album, Double Up, as he awaits a new date for his trial in Chicago which was postponed last month.

Cole is currently enjoying the success of her sophomore release, Just Like You, featuring the single, “Shoulda Let You Go” featuring Amina.

J. Holiday currently has the No. 1 R&B album in the U.S. with his debut Back Of My Lac featuring the smash hit “Bed.”

Sharon Jones And The Dap-Kings are readying the release of their album, 100 Days, 100 Nights due tomorrow, October 2nd. The eclectic group’s been written up across the country, from the LA Times to the New York Times. You can cop a download here and even check out a non-album track that covers Bob Marley. New R&B/Soul Releases September: Keyshia Cole

On her upcoming album, Just Like You, Keyshia collaborates with producers such as Rodney Jerkins, Babyface, Scott Storch, and Bryan Michael Cox. The set will be available Sept. 25.

In the meantime, Cole is also in the midst of a mini tour with remaining dates in California and Washington state.

Keyshia Cole To Perform National Anthem At Kickoff

Keyshia Cole is one of the acts scheduled to perform “The Star Spangled Banner” at the kickoff of the 2007 NFL season.

The “NFL opening Kickoff 2007 Presented By Sprint” will take place on Thursday, September 6, and will see the R&B powerhouse joined by the Voices Of Unity Youth Choir from Ft. Wayne, Indiana. The event will also feature a performance by rock legend and Indiana native, John Mellencamp, all in honor of Super Bowl champion Indianapolis Colts and the city of Indianapolis.

You can see the show from 8 – 8:30 PM ET on NBC and the NFL Network before the season opener between the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints (NBC, Westwood One Radio Sports, 8:30 PM ET). Additionally, the live pregame broadcast will also be available for the first time, via NFL Mobile on Sprint’s wireless service.

In related news, Cole’s sophomore set, Just Like You, is due for release on September 25th.

New R&B/Soul Releases August: Emily King

Acclaimed newbie Emily King has dropped her highly-anticipated debut East Side Story which features lead single, “Walk In My Shoes.”

According to her press release:

Timbaland, West, Fall Out Boy, Lily Allen, Winehouse, Chris Brown, Foo Fighters and Rihanna are all scheduled to perform at the gala scheduled to take place live (9 p.m. EST) September 9th at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Floetry Gets Revamped, Joins With Emily King For Tour

Natalie Stewart, of the award-winning duo Floetry, has reportedly been replaced by rapper/MTV personality Amanda Diva.

As of press, the cause of the change is unconfirmed and there is no word on whether the lineup change is permanent.

Diva will join with current Floetry singer Marsha Ambrosius on The Floetry Remixed Tour and will be joined by Emily King fresh from her jaunt on the John Legend tour.

Screamfest ’07 Stars T.I., Ciara, Announces Dates

Ciara T.I.“Screamfest ’07, is the sixth installment in the critically acclaimed Scream Tour concert series and this year features two-time Grammy winner T.I. and the series’ first female headliner, Grammy Award winning, multi-platinum selling performer Ciara.

“This is my second time being a part of the Scream and I must say that it feels bigger and better this year,” said Ciara. “I am very excited about the lineup. It’s the hottest names in music and I can guarantee that fans will be excited as well. Expect a lot of energy on this tour and expect to hear hit after hit after hit!”

T.I. will be supporting his upcoming T.I. vs T.I.P, scheduled to drop July 3rd and including the songs “Big Things Poppin’ ” and “You Know What It Is” featuring Wyclef Jean.

“This year I plan on setting the bar extremely high,” said T.I. “Nothing like what you’re used to. The tour is evolving and becoming more mature. We are going to go hard. I guarantee it will be the tour of the summer and you can bet the house on that.”

Supported by BET, the tour will also feature Yung Joc and R&B heartthrob Lloyd.

In the past, the Scream Tour featured headliners such as Ne-Yo, Bow Wow, Chris Brown and Omarion.

T.I. and Ciara To Headline 6th Annual Scream Tour

T.I. and Ciara will be the headliners for the 6th Annual Scream Tour starting in late July.

The tour, usually headed by boy toy types like Omarion, Bow Wow, etc, will hit 24 U.S. cities, including Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Miami, Detroit, Washington, D.C., and Baltimore.

Supporting acts and a final itinerary are yet to be announced.

Last year’s Scream fest was headed by Omarion and Ne-Yo, and was billed as the “Ruff & Ready, Young & Sexy” tour. Pretty Ricky, One Chance, Mario, Jibbs, Young Joc, and Sammie were the supporting acts.
