Rock The Bells Tour Rocks The U.S.
by admin ·
The weekend-indie-fest-turned-indie-tour kicked off in Boston, burned New York’s Randall Island this weekend and continues its U.S. jaunt until the end of August. As previously reported, the tour sees the legendary Wu Tang Clan co-headline with the newly re-united Rage Against The Machine.
Also in the hip-hop mix are names such as the tour’s host Supernatural who, while hosting last year’s RTB, broke the world’s record for longest freestyle. Other mega-acts on this bill from heaven include Public Enemy, The Roots, Cypress Hill, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, and underground titans such as MF Doom, Immortal Technique and many more.
Special thanks to Eon Goddard for the photos below from Boston’s jump-off also featuring Nas. If you haven’t already, buy tickets for this incredible show and support what we like to call “Real Hip-hop.”

Jermaine Dupri Signs “Aunt Jackie”
by admin ·
21-year-old Jason Fox was recently signed by Jermaine Dupri on the strength of his hit “Aunt Jackie.” The song has (of course) spawned a dance craze in his native Harlem as well as across the nation.
Fox, who sounds like a young Will Smith, has been applauded by some for re-claiming the old-school vibe.
“I think were seeing the life of hip-hop coming back with songs like ‘Aunt Jackie’,” says Dupri. “It’s the kids acting like kids used to act when I was growing up, and I love it because, to me, hip-hop has been too-cool -for-school lately. It’s time for a change.”
Check out the ridiculously popular video.
