Verizon Hangs Up On Akon For Raunchy Dance With Teen
Verizon Wireless has given a dial tone to singer Akon in the wake of his innappropriate onstage behaviour with a minor. The singer, originally from Senegal, reportedly simulated sexual positions with a 15-year-old girl during a performance in Trinidad.
As reported on TMZ.com:
“The rapper invited 15-year-old Danah Alleyne onto the stage, and the girl obliged, thinking that she was entering a dance contest to win a “trip to Africa,” as Akon promised. But when Alleyne “won” the contest, the “trip to Africa” turned out to be an on-stage encounter with Akon during which her “head was hitting the floor, said Alleyne to the Trinidad Express (via FOX News).”
Verizon promptly axed sponsorship of Akon stating “reasons.”

Mr. Akon, would you do those same acts to your MOTHER, DAUGHTER, GRAND DAUGHTER or SISTER ? Would you allow another to do the same to yours ? Folks, I think it’s time for everyone to wake up and smell the coffee and stop going along with the flow. Respect one another to get respect is something I live my life by, and LORD help me, if my 78 yr old mother every caught or heard of me doing such a thing to a child I’d be beaten stupid.

What Akon is doing is pathetic. I love his music, but what he is doing is degrading not only himself, but black people also. He is a grown man; he should know better than to go around humping folks because it not only reflects on him, but black people, the black music industry and his family. He should be ashame of himself. The fact that I have not seen or heard even one public apology from him, just makes me wonder WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH HIM? Tara Reid was wrong for letting him do that to her because it allowed him to think that he could do anything he want to anyone he wants. He has to face the consequences of his actions and step up and be a man and apologize. He went from hump a grown woman to “simulated raping a 14 years old girl. I am not saying that the girl is innocent because lets face it, what kids know about sex today would shock a grown adult. Kids are having sex younger and younger these days, but Akon is a GROWN MAN and he needs to act like it. Whenever I used to hear people talk bad about hip hop and the effect it has on society, especially kids. I used to say if you don’t want to hear it then change the channel. But this is getting out of hand, there is no way anyone can ignore something like this. I loved most of Akon’s music thinking anyone who sing/rap like him is gifted and has a beautiful soul. This was a 14 yr old at a show advertised for 18 yr olds in a CLUB. Are we going to stop all the dirty dancing in ADULT clubs because it degrades black people, are we going to ban shows such as BET after dark?
Akon was not at fault. Akon should sue the club, promoters and also the girls parents for allowing a 14 yr old to enter a concert advertised for folks 18 yrs and older. If she was caught drinking a short of Johnny Walker Scotch whiskey, would we close down the company, pull their billboards and chastise them the way this way.

Also TMZ U need to print all the details. It was an adult show which her minister father probably pulled some strings for her to get into. To listen to songs such as “Smack that” and “belly dancer” and “I wanna F*$k you”.The guys album is R-rated and the example you show as a minister is that you are allowing your 14 yr old daughter to listen to such..

oh i’m sorry… was he supposed to be on id checking staff while putting on a concert? i think that this is in no way his fault. I’ve looked over 18 since i was 12,and was approached by several 18+ men during my jail-bait years, but i was smart enough to decline them. Who can blame him humping a girl who was presumed to be 18. I think the girl is very fake, if you look at the pics on this website you will find that the girl looks ten times more innocent in the picture with her father than she looked in the one further down on the page where she’s showing the side of her that she’s hiding from her preaching father.And if you watch the video, you will notice how she appeared to be really happy for the “trip” and willingly wrapped her leggs aroung his, looked like she knew what she was doing to me
