Interview: Sunshine Anderson Makes A Comeback

by admin ·

sunshineandersonpubAfter a five year hiatus, Sunshine Anderson is back with the release of her second album, Sunshine At Midnight.

With her 2001 hit single “Heard It All Before,” she is determined to prove that she is far from a one hit wonder. Battling a stint of depression, Anderson returned to her roots to mentally cleanse and prepare for a challenging project.

Recording with Matthew Knowles’ label, Music World Music, Anderson had more creative freedom. She wrote the majority of the music on Sunshine At Midnight, while Raphael Saadiq wrote one track, “Wear The Crown.”

Sunshine talks life, offers words of wisdom, and clears up any misconceptions.

Dreamgirls Mesmerizes Golden Globes Awards With Three Wins

by admin ·

Dreamgirls scored an impressive three wins in last night’s star-studded Golden Globes Awards including Best Picture, Comedy or Musical. The film adaptation of the famed Broadway musical saw newcomer Jennifer Hudson win Best Supporting Actress for her jaw-dropping turn as Effie in the move.

“I have always dreamed, but never, ever this big,” a teary-eyed Hudson said while accepting her award. “You do not know how much this does for my confidence.”

The ex-American Idol contestant also tossed a bone to the show’s notoriously caustic judge by saying, “You like my award, Simon?”

Eddie Murphy copped Best Supporting Actor, and jokingly thanked David Geffen “for convincing me to work for free it was all worth it now.”

Other winners included Prince for Best Song (“The Song of the Heart” from “Happy Feet”). The pop legend attended the award show, but arrived after his award was announced. It was accepted in his place by Prince-wanna-be Justin Timberlake, who crouched low as a joke about Prince’s height.
