Jay-Z Confirms Hangar Tour Stops

Jay-Z’s comeback is in full swing with a planned 17-hour tour that will hit 7 cities.

According to Sohh.com, “The Jay-Z Hangar Tour” will see Hova perform in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and the grand finale in Las Vegas, flying by a G5 jet from gig to gig.

Sponsored by Cingular Wireless, the event will be streamed on Cingular cellphones and offer a pair of fans a jaunt on the G5 with Jay-Z, Roc-A-Wear gear, and the opportunity to participate in the Las Vegas show.

The Brooklyn rapper’s highly anticipated ninth solo album, Kingdom Come, is due for a November 21 release, features guests Beyonce, Usher, Pharrell and Chris Martin (Coldplay), and is reviewed in its entirety here.

News Bits: Ed Bradley, Eminem, Mariah Carey & Will Smith

Mr. Ed BradleyPioneering news veteran Ed Bradley passed away today of leukemia. He was 65. RIP.

Eminem and a subservient 50 Cent will decorate the next (December) cover of Vibe magazine. Word is the accompanying interview is hot.

The New York post reports that Mariah Carey, after receiving two floor-length mink coats from a Russian oligarch fan, donated the coats to PETA. One of the coats was kept in queue for a future protest (probably to throw paint on or burn), but strangely the second mink was lost in the mail en route to Mongolia. UPS will pay PETA $7,500 for the coat’s value.

Will Smith‘s stand-up-and-cheer performance in the upcoming film “The Pursuit of Happyness” (view trailer) already has people talking about him portraying Barack Obama. “…Happyness” opens December 15.

Michael Jackson is scheduled to “thrill” audiences November 15 with a rare public performance of his classic “Thriller” during the World Music Awards in London.

Prince‘s new Las Vegas Club, 3121, is already sold out for its first weekend. As previously reported, The Purple One’s schedule to perform there frequently, along with other top billers.

Foxy Brown continues to catch heck. Page six says she’s close to getting the boot from Def Jam and “Jay-Z is furious at Foxy’s lack of productivity on her album ‘Black Roses.’ He is also mad because Foxy was talking out of school about him and [Def Jam artist] Rihanna and saying things that weren’t true.”
