Funk Icon Bootsy Collins To Drop Christmas Album

Bootsy CollinsFunk legend Bootsy Collins is slated to tear the roof off this Christmas with his first holiday album, Bootsy Collins: Christmas Is 4 Ever. Below, check out “Boot-Off (AKA Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer).”

Guests include Snoop Dogg, Charlie Daniels, Buckethead, Bishop Don Magic Juan and former members of the James Brown and P-Funk bands, while the set offers four new tracks and nine holiday favorites. Snoop contributes verses to “Happy Holidaze,” while Daniels throws down on the fiddle and background vocals for “Sleigh Ride” (also featuring vocals by Ohio Players lead singer Sugarfoot). Additional guests include Fred Wesley and other former James Brown collaborators MC Danny Ray and Bobby Byrd, as well as former Parliament/Funkadelic members Blackbyrd McKnight and Bernie Worrell. Thrown into the mix are holiday greetings from Buckethead and the late great Roger Troutman.
