Check out “Promise,” the first single from Ciara’s upcoming album, The Evolution, due to hit iPods December 5th.

The eagerly anticipated set boasts production from the usual high subjects, including will.i.am, Pharrell Williams, Rodney Jerkins, Polow and more.

In addition to the heavy hitting knob turners, Ciara’s sophomore set will also offer a limited-edition DVD that shows how to do Ciara’s dance moves and choreography routines from the videos for “Get Up” & “Promise.”

Snoop Dogg has turned himself in to authorities at the Orange County Jail today on what the rapper’s attorney has called “bogus” charges.

The 35-year-old rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, has been booked on one felony count of possession of a deadly weapon filed after John Wayne International Airport security staff found a collapsible baton in his carry-on luggage.

During the Sept. 27 incident, Snoop informed the officers the baton was a prop for a movie.

The superstar is expected to post $150,000 bail, and can be sentenced to three years in prison if convicted.

Snoop’s spokesperson, Meredith O’Sullivan, said in a statement Monday that Snoop “welcomes an expedited trial which will reveal that these charges are completely unwarranted.”
