New Music: Jeremiah – Chasing Forever

by admin ·

JeremiahRochester native Jeremiah has been receiving incredible critical response to his debut Chasing Forever. The set, released today on the Siri Music Group imprint, is a testimony to love and already being hailed as a classic album.

Jeremiah himself seems to be a classic in the making. One of 12 children, the classically trained vocalist started writing songs at the age of 10, and by the age of 21 had already performed at Carnegie Hall. He’s since shared stages with the likes of Yolanda Adams, Amel Larrieux, George Michael and Rachelle Ferrell.

“Jeremiah is a gem,” said Ferrell, “He touches my soul, I feel him. He is me and I am him. His talent is endless.”

This past July saw the upandcomer return home for the 12th annual Rochester MusicFest concert where he shared the stage with artists such as Heather Headley, K-Ci & JoJo, Kem, Cameo, Doug E. Fresh, Caron Wheeler, The Emotions, Charlie Wilson and more.

Although you’d never know it now, the artist was overweight as a child and many of his early writings stemmed from the pain he felt.

“The concept of the album came to me as I was listening to some of the first songs I had ever written. I wanted to recapture that innocence on this record,” explains Jeremiah. “With the organic textures of strings and other acoustic instruments we were able to create the range of emotions that reflect this journey.”

His music truly sounds timeless. Share your thoughts on the second single, a duet with Shanice called “Love For A While” and then go out and get the album.
