Cham, Alicia Keys “Ghetto Story” Makes Rebound

For those of you who haven’t heard the latest Alicia Keys collabo, “Ghetto Story” you might want to check it out. The track offered by dancehall artist Cham features both vocalists offering touching accounts of how hard it was to grow up in poverty and is the title track from Cham’s upcoming set scheduled to be released August 15th.
Although it was dropped a while back, the song is making a huge rebound on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Rap charts.
The music video can be seen on MTV, BET and will appear on MTV2′s “Sucker Free Countdown” August 20th.
Along with Keys, Cham’s album features Rihanna and Akon.

I really love this song and way Alicia handles her own on the riddim. Most American artists sound too fake or try to sound too Jamaican when they sing weith a dancehall artist. Nuff respect Miss Keys. Job well done.

i luv this song, really relates i’m from the philippines and i too sorta grew up from a ghetto place poor and starved…use to eat rice sauced in coffee…or sumtimes nuttin at all…also use to get beat up for nuttin…our families almost killed each other…this song really spoke to me yo! i use to hav tubercolosis, and parents didnt hav money at all…but we had each other…i now live in california got adopted…tb got treated so now…i’m healthy as a pig…came ova when i was 11 yrs old yr of 1990..the rest of the family still in the philippines…i work and send money to them every x-mas…
