Mya Announces “Liberation” With New Track
It’s been a looooong time since we’ve heard new music from soulful (and in our opinion sorely underated) pop/R&B chanteuse Mya, whose last set, Moodring, graced us in 2003.
Back in July, the D.C. native told Vibe.com that she’s grown a lot since then.
“With the last album I thought I was a little passive and there were insecurities that I did have with my personal life, family, boyfriends and professional life. I was a prisoner to myself back then.â€
Now she’s back; feeling stronger and expressing that new view on her upcoming release Liberation. The set won’t be available until November 14, so until then, peep the first track, “Ayo,” and tell the world what you think.
