Step Up Soundtrack Giveaway

by admin ·

On August 8, Jive Records is set to drop the soundtrack to the upcoming movie Step Up. This hot album is led by Ciara’s bouncy “Get Up” featuring Chamillionaire, plus more new songs from Petey Pablo, Anthony Hamilton, Kelis, Youngbloodz and more popular artists in rap, soul and R&B.

The flick tells the story of Tyler Gage (Channing Tatum) a dude-with-attitude from the wrong side of Baltimore’s tracks and the blazing moves that happen as a result of him meeting Nora (Jenna Dewan), a privileged ballet dancer attending the city’s ultra-elite Maryland School of the Arts. The film, opening in theaters August 11th, also stars Mario and Heavy D.

HiphopRnbSoul.com is teaming up with the folks at Jive to offer some lucky fans a chance to win cool stuff from the movie, including the soundtrack.

Supernatural Breaks Record For World’s Longest Freestyle Rap

by admin ·

SupernaturalWhile serving as host to this past weekend’s Rock The Bells annual hip-hop festival, underground emcee Supernatural broke the record for delivering the longest freestyle rap.

The jaw-dropping rap, freestyled for over nine hours, has officially placed him into the World Book of Guiness Records.

The remarkably versatile emcee used a variety of objects, events and people to serve as subjects for his rhymes. On a stage that resembled somebody’s living room, audience members handed him random items which he would magically build verses around. Dailybulletin.com paints a vivid picture of his amazing skills.

As previously reported, the record was formerly held by Canadian rapper D.O., who spewed impromtu verses for eight hours and forty-five minutes straight.

The announcement came Saturday, during the festival’s first day of events which saw performances from some of hip-hop music’s greats including the Wu Tang Clan, Mos Def, Talib Kweli Redman, De La Soul and many more.

After the announcement, a hoarse Supernatural somehow garnered the energy to freestyle even more over a Mobb Deep track.
