The double disc Alter Ego is set for a Fall release and will feature Tyrese the R&B singer on one disc and his rapper alter ego, Black Ty, on the other.

According to MTV, the multi-faceted performer couldn’t be more excited.

“A new R&B album is exciting, but not as exciting as the buzz that’s out about this hip-hop album,” he said. “I ain’t trying to force this rap thing on nobody. I love it. It’s a passion of mine. I’m not doing it to be the biggest name in hip-hop.”

Guests stars on the two CDs include Snoop Dogg, Game, Chingy, David Banner, Mannie Fresh, Paul Wall, Ice Cube and Kurupt. No word yet on which moniker the singer, ummm rapper, prefers.
