P. Diddy Presents Danity Kane… again

Last night we attended the Hollyrock listening party for the upcoming self-titled album from Dawn, Aundrea, Aubrey, Shannon and Wanita, set to drop in August. Shee-shee poo-poo appetizers circulated freely while 25 people at any given time waited for the open bar.
An hour after it was supposed to begin (an hour that included the heavy rotation of a number of songs from artists except Danity Kane), P. Diddy rolled in looking fabulously fresh despite the triple digit temperatures outside. Unfortunately the temp was the only hotness last night. While the ladies of the group are attractive and sweet, the music is bland in a watered down Spice Girls sort of way.
They should go far.

I like the single..I didn’tknow what to expect because of all the hype around the show.. I think its very harmonious and melodic.. and im singin’it all day long because its a catchy tune.. I hope the video isn’t like everything else out there..

Honestly, I do not like it…at least this version…y’all know Diddy gonna remix this ish like 3 times…the whole time I waited for the song to actually get started…speed up…do sumthin…NOTHING

I think this song is horrible, a lot of breathy sounds and its just a tacky beginning. If I were to hear it on radio or the video was to pop on, I’d immediately turn the channel. NEXT PLEASE!

I hope this isn’t the final cut. Good concept, good lyrics, the beats need more work, and the voices don’t reflect their potential.

I think their voices sound great. However, it seems so unrealistic for a group of women (most not from the hood) to be singing (not rapping) about bling and cars. Just doesn’t fit. I thought artists (true artists) wrote songs and sang about real life. Aubrey, Andrea, and Shannon probably never used the word bling before until they tried out for the band. And, their name is WACK… I expected a little more, because the girls can sing. Yet, I’m still mad at Diddy not picking Dominique, so what do I know? DOMINIQUE!!! I still love you…

The song is iight. But it does have too many breathy sounds, the beat does need a lot of work, it needed a little more speed, the voices couldve been a lot better. They need another vocal coach for them high notes. Maybe they just shouldve put out another song. The album is probably whack as their name is fo real. What kind of name is Danity Kane?? Thats not a good group. He shouldve put more talented people in thr group. The only ones that could sing are Wanita, Aundrea and Dawn.

Well, the song is OK…Wouldn’t have made it a single. But bcuz these chix can sing, I am definitely looking fwd to the cd. I will buy it. Just like Da Band frm season 2, I know the cd will be off the chain!!

Music is not music anymore these days. If someone comes out with something original, nobody likes it or wants to buy it. This sounds like all the music that’s selling right now. It’s what sells, so why is anyone surprised by that? What do we expect from the music industry. Business is business, right? As for the group, I don’t really care for the name. I think they could have come up with something much better. I do, however, like the music I’ve heard so far–the single and songs from the show. Its something you can dance to and just enjoy. They diserve a chance to make it because individually they are all talented ladies. I hope they do. I’ll buy there album.

I love the song but only thing I don’t like is that the group sound like little girls and not women. The group put too much oh oh oh in the song and they also speak in the background too much. They make the song sound like a little girl song. Overall i love the verses but not what the echoes are. I love Dawn voice and I can pick her out from everyone else.I will buy the CD if I could hear some more songs.

I think the song is hott everyone is just mad and hating on the girls because how they got started and the jump they had but truth be told if you add up all the work the girls did to shine brightly to Diddy adds up to everyother band thats trying to make it .Some people are like well if I WOULD have tried out this WOULD have happen and Diddy SHOULD have picked her well could of should of would of are hating words I’m happy Diddy’s got a banging hott band that yeah needs some work in a long run and hasn’t been out there for that long like Mary J and Jlo but who has everybody’s gotta start somewhere and they are going to take over the world and they’re not all hype

I love the girls from Making the Band 3 and I love the new single. I cannot wait for the CD to drop. However, I am so sick of everybody already hatin’ on them. Give the girls a chance, I feel they truly deserve it. All the hard work they put into the show and recording really paid off. Good luck girls, and I hope you make all the haters eat sh-t!!!!

Aundrea and D Woods are the best. Dawn is icing on the cake and mellows out their music. Interesting name for their group. I wondered if they got Kane from Erica Kane from All My Children (Soap Opera) because Erica Kane is a strong woman. Dawn, are you an All My Children Fan?

i got the album earlier and i can’t stop listening to it…it is really really good…i don’t understand why people are hating( i hear more positive things then negative)but i think they are all beautiful women living they’re dreams and they all sing like angels

Yes that rock song is superb by Danity Kane. I listen this song and it very good. I am also there because of waiting to open a bar to get some drink but when I listen these songs I forget about bar.
